NoMa is expected to get a new park, half of which will be for dogs and half of which will be for children with a jungle gym-like structure included. Greater Greater Washington reported that the park will be located at the corner of Third and L streets NE.

Before the end of the year, there will likely be a new playground and dog park at the corner of Third and L Streets NE. The park will bring a new jungle gym-like structure for children and some much needed space for dogs to a rapidly densifying corner of the District.

Adding parks could go a long way toward warming up the place, and NoMa is on track to get its first green space by fall. The parcel at Third and L streets, Northeast, is modest, but planners are packing in an off-leash area for dogs and a vertical playground called a Wallholla, made in the Netherlands and one of only five in the United States.

An empty lot that once was home to a Greyhound bus station might be a dog park by this summer.
The NoMa Business Improvement District is considering building a temporary dog park at the southeast corner of 1st and L streets NE, where the Storey Park residential and retail complex is set to open in 2017. NoMa currently does not have any parks where dogs can roam unleashed.
